For more than 50 years, The Court has been a place of gathering for our community. It has brought works of local meaning, national significance, international standard to the people of Christchurch and, in doing so, has won a place in the hearts of Cantabrians.
Our Purpose
Established in 2014, The Court Foundation (Charity number – CC-49422) manages and is the guardian of The Court’s philanthropic funds. It is committed to protecting and advancing the work of The Court so that it remains at the forefront of shaping and influencing Christchurch’s living arts culture. It does this through the generosity of individuals, organisations and businesses.

When you give money to The Court Foundation, you do so knowing that those responsible for its guardianship were chosen because of their broad experience in business, finance and theatre management, as well as their commitment to The Court Theatre and its future.
